Sylvester Vincent Jr, (Junior) age 76 of Memphis Tennessee was born on May 27, 1945, in Birmingham Alabama, to the late Sylvester Vincent Sr, and Susie Mae Williams. He was the second eldest of his eight siblings. He attended South and East Highland schools in Sylacauga, AL. Sylvester was married in 1964 to Carol Ann Walker and to this union were born three children. Years later, he moved to Knoxville, Tn and joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church where he served as a rejoiceful and dedicated Usher for several years. He moved to Memphis, Tn in 2014 and joined Greater Imani Church Cathedral of Faith. After a few years, He was led to become a member of Pavilion of Hope ministry until his heavenly father called him home.
Late evening on Thursday, April 07, 2022, Sylvester Vincent transitioned from this life to be in the presence of the Lord. He is preceded in death by his father and mother: one brother Terry Cook of Sylacauga, AL, one grandson, and one great granddaughter of Selma, AL,
He leaves to cherish his memories: two son’s Anthony E. Vincent and Orderick S. Vincent (Sandra) both of Selma, AL; one daughter Sheila M. Vincent White of Memphis, TN; five sibling, Pastor Betty Arije(Presiding Bishop Wesley Arije) of Memphis, TN, Elder Perry Cook of Sylacauga AL, Irene Cook of Memphis, TN, Matthew Cook of Campus, AL, Elder Benjamin Cook(Arnetta) of Florence, AL; one sister-in-law Diane Cook of Birmingham AL.: six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and finally a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
