Sallie Jane (Rutlin) Meadows

Mrs. Sallie Jane Rutlin-Meadows was born on January 31, 1956, in Wedowee, Alabama to the parentage of the late Ben Rutlin and Vermell Rutlin of Wedowee, Alabama. She retired in June 2020 from Jackson Memorial after 22 years and attended the Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Miami, FL until she moved back to her hometown Alabama in July 2020. She enjoyed helping others, volunteering at Hope Cottage in Roanoke, Al, spending time with loved ones, especially her children and grandchildren, long rides, site seeing and loving on her family. When she set out to help, she tried to do it in a way that made a difference in that person life. “Let your work and help make a difference was her motto. She is preceded in death by her husband; Lazaro Wilson, parents; Ben and Vermell Rutlin, sister; LenaMae Rutlin. She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories; children, two sons; Benjamin Ray Meadows(Annie) of Roanoke, Al, Lorenzo Lee Meadows (Crystal) of Miami, FL; one daughter, Valerie Labranche (Wilson); God-daughter, Torneisha Ghent of Talahassee, Fl; three sisters; Joan Knight of Albany, GA, Rudine Buchanan of Roanoke, Al and Linda Marbel of Wedowee, Al, twenty grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and best friend, Rachel Heard.
