Ms. Amauri Nevaeh Lawson

Amauri was born September 27, 2006, at Russell Medical Center, Alexander City, AL, to the parents of (late) Jeffrey Sean Lawson and Shandrica Renae Sims.

Amauri attended Randolph County High School, Wedowee, Al. She enjoyed arts and crafts, spending time with family, cooking, and traveling.

On Wednesday, August 2, 2023, Amauri transitioned from this life at Benjamin Russell Children's Hospital, Birmingham, Al. Her departure formed a reunion with her father Jeffrey Lawson, her grandmother Linda Ruth Lawson and grandfather Fred Phillips.

She is survived by her mother Shandrica Renae Sims of Wedowee, Al; 2 Brothers, Tobias Lawson of Wedowee and Jeffery Urioste of Atlanta, Ga; Grandmother, Tracy Sims, Wedowee, Al; Grandfather, Larry “Hank” Lawson, Bowdon, Ga; 2 Great Grandmothers, Clara Mae Phillips, Lineville, Al and Wylander Faye Smith, Wedowee, Al; 3 Special Aunts, Vanessa Vantrice Sims (Brandon), and Shajuana Vanteesa Sims, both of Wedowee, Al; Symba C Simmons (Chauncy), Savannah, Ga; 1 Special Uncle Nicholas Lawson (Lasonja), Carrollton, Ga.; Special Cousins, Zamerah Nunn; Marley Sims, AJ Marbury, Niveah Marbury, Jaxon Simmons, Aerial Lawson, Sundy Woodget, Carter Lawson and Quadir Lawson.
