Doris Ann McGhee Cook, affectionately known as “Ann Dee” or “Doris Ann” was born on January 27th 1949 to the late Ephrim and Ruth Harris McGhee. Sheworked in the Sylacauga City School System for many years and ultimately retired as a CNP Manager.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to her loving husband, Paul Cook and through this union three children were born. At an early age, she confessed Christ and was an active and devoted member of St. Thomas United Methodist Church where she served on various committees until she could no longer fulfill her obligations.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Cook, Parents (Ephrim and Ruth Harris McGhee), Siblings (Eva Braxton and Richard McGhee).
On Saturday, July 23rd, 2022, the Lord reached down into His garden and picked one of His beautiful flowers to come home for eternal rest and receive her
reward. Doris will forever be loved by her children, Hope (George) Sparks, Terri (La’Noah) Ealy, and Paula (Benny) Bruno; grandchildren Kiaya Sparks, Summer Sparks, La’Noah Ealy Jr., Destinee Ealy, Alana Bruno, Alivia Bruno, and Maria Gomez; siblings Ruby Jean (Charles) Brewster of Amityville, New York, Gary McGhee of West Babylon, New York, Anthony McGhee, Childersburg, Alabama,
Sandra Williams, Larry McGhee, and Leon (Vanessa) McGhee all of Sylacauga, Alabama; A sister-in-law, Katie McGhee of New York and brother -in-law, Clark Cook of Georgia. A host of nieces, nephews, and other cherished family members and friends.
