Dontavius “Tae” Snead as born on December 13, 2002 At Russell Medical Center in Alexander
City, AL to the parentage of the late Mr. Ira T. Snead Jr, and Ms. Debra Dejarnette.
Tae attended school at Wadley High School, Handley High School, and successfully graduated
from LaGrange High School in 2022. He excelled in athletics and was a Star Football Player for
the LaGrange Grangers Mr. #5 was an amazing athlete, he also participated in Track and Field.
Following graduation Tae enlisted into the United States Navy to serve his country as a Active
Duty soldier for two and half years.
Some of his hobbies included hanging with his friends, playing video games, and loving his
family. Tae never met a stranger, he may have been quiet at first but once the conversation
started he was fully engaged.
Mr. Snead attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Wadley, AL under the leadership of Rev.
William Russell.
On Thursday May 9, 2024 Tae traded time for eternity in San Diego, California.
He is preceded in death by his father Ira Snead Jr.; Grandmother: Sandra Dejarnette; Great
grandmother: Thelma Dejarnette, and a special cousin Damon K. Murray.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving mother; Debra Dejarnette of LaGrange, GA
; Siblings: Carlton Dejarnette ( Nephew Rielan Allen) of Alexander CIty, AL. Sharetta Zachery of
Lineville, AL; Mark Wood, Sabrina Wood, Iris Wood all of Goodwater, AL, and Jaylon Jordan of
LaGrange, GA. His Grandfather: David Thomas of Lineville,AL. Aunts: Caroly Murray (Tarrick)
of Hoboken, NJ. Linda Garrett (John) and Lashunda Thomas all of Lineville, AL. Uncles:
Reginald Dejarnette of Wadley, AL. Dantreas Thomas of Lineville, AL. and Desmond Thomas of
Birmingham, AL. His Girlfriend: Akira Austin of Milledgeville, GA. Godmother: Andrea Harris of
Roanoke, AL. Special Aunts: Sara Askew of Opelika, AL. Tonya Treadwell of Roanoke, AL.
Special Grandmother: Lorraine Gibbons of Lineville, AL. Special Sister: Zykeria Burkes, and
finally a host of other relatives, and friends.
