Laqretia as most affectionately called her “Quita” was born on February 7, 1980, in Sylacauga, Alabama to the parentage of the late Annie “Penny” Baker and Trent Baker of Childersburg, Alabama. She was educated within the Sylacauga School System and was a homemaker for her girls. She enjoyed cooking, loving her family (especially her children and granddaughter), reading, and listening to music. At a young age she gave her life over to God at Kingston Missionary Baptist Church, Alpine, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her mother, grandparents, aunts, Thelma and Jackie, and cousin Addie. Laqretia leaves to cherish her wonderful memories; children, Ms. La’Terrian Powell and Miss Octavia Baker-Jordan both of Sylacauga, Alabama; Father; Trent Baker of Childersburg, Alabama. Sisters, Ms. Nephaterie Baker of Birmingham, Alabama, Ms. Crystal Baker of Chesapeake, VA, and Shenekia (Charlie) Baker of Los Angeles, California. Granddaughter: Miss Kinsley Powell of Sylacauga, Alabama. Special nephew and niece; Mr. Keenon Baker of Chesapeake, Virginia and Ms. Kayla Baker of Birmingham, Alabama. She also leaves behind to cherish her great memories filled with laughs and happy memories a great aunt, great uncle, aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many, many friends.
