Johnny Wesley Askew

Mr. Johnny Askew was born to the late Mr. Leonard and Eucala Askew on March 31, 1948. At the age of 73, he departed this life on March 4, 2021 at his home in Alexander City, AL.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Leonard and Eucala Askew of Abanda, AL; a sister: Annie Kate Askew of Roanoke, AL; a son: Garrett McCowan of Atlanta, GA.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one sister: Linda (Booker T.) Bailey of Roanoke, AL; sons: Christopher Askew of Alexander City, AL; Cedric Askew of Huntsville, AL (Latrice); Carlos Askew of Jacksonville, NC; David Askew of Columbia, SC; daughters: Stephanie Thomas of Lafayette, AL; Farrah Askew of Columbia, SC; 12 grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Johnny will be missed by all who knew him, but especially by his family.
