Jerry Parker, age 67, was born in Wedowee, Alabama to the late Willie Frank and Mary Lee Goodwin Parker on March 9, 1954. He attended Wedowee High School and later joined the Job Corps of America. He later married Rosella Knight in 1978, and to this union two children were born;LaTia Izetter Parker Stewart and Jerry Parker Jr.
Jerry “JP” Parker confessed Christ as his Savior at an early age and later rededicated his life in 2019. Jerry was very well known for his love of motorcycles, leather jackets, and music. To many he was known as “the life of the party” with his vibrant personality and his ability to make people laugh with his witty quotes and slogans.
Jerry Parker was preceded in death by his parents; Willie Frank and Mary Lee Goodwin Parker; brothers Tommy Parker and Jesse Parker; sisters, Mary Frank Parker and Virginia Ann Sims;
Jerry Parker departed this life on December 18, 2021. He will be deeply missed by all who love him and leaves to cherish his memories: His loving daughter, La’Tia Parker Stewart (Michael) of Prattville, AL; his loving son, Jerry Parker, Jr of Cleveland, Ohio., 6 grandchildren: Antonio Parker of Prattville, AL, Jaylon Parker, Navaeh, Jermayla, Julianno, Ja’Niyah all of Cleveland Ohio. One great grandchild, Antonio Parker Jr. (Ajay) 3 brothers: Larry (Rene) Parker, Ricky Parker and Eric Parker; 8 nephews: Jeffery Sims, Grady Lee (Angela)Sims, Terrance (Denise)Sims, James Bailey, Christopher (Luverne) Parker, and Michael (Chuyna)Parker; Larry Parker Jr., Ricky Parker Jr, 2 nieces: Mary Ann Angel and Marquita Parker
His special aunt and uncle: Katherine Spidell and Rev. Curtis Spidell of Wedowee AL; also, uncle: Richard Goodwin Jr of Wedowee, AL; a special loving brother-in-law, Rev. A.J. Sims of Wedowee, AL, and a host of great nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, family and friends.
