Gregory Louis Wright

Gregory Louis Wright was born to the late Nettie Jo and James C Wright Sr. in Birmingham, Al on June 10, 1957. He attended Birmingham city schools and in 1975 he joined the United States army and served in Germany. Upon returning home, Gregory met and married Elaine Carrington, who preceded him in death. Gregory retired from Leggett and Platt in Orlando, Florida and returned to Birmingham Alabama. Greg joined and gave his life to Christ at True Love Church where Pastor Jimmy Austin was his pastor.

He is preceded in death by his parents James C and Nettie Jo Wright, his brothers James C Wright Jr., David Wright, and Dennis Wright. He leaves to cherish his memory: Three children, June Carrington, Geria “Gigi” Conners, and Lawaunya White; seven grandchildren, three brothers; Glenn Wright, Malcom (Deshaundra) Wright, and Michael(Lavonia) Wright; six sisters, Dean Miller, Lurean (Mike) Wright, Debbie (Roderick) Fordham, Marilyn (Ronnie) Maxwell, Tonella (Horace) Wright, and Gladys (Roderick) Smith; sister-in-law, Kunita Taylor Wright; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, loved ones; special cousin, Sammy Williams and uncle Joseph Wright.
