Gerald Lawler was born on September 19, 1964, to the union of Melvin Lawler Jr. and Fannie Maude Lawler in Talladega, Al.
Mr. Lawler confessed Jesus Christ and united with Morning Star Baptist Church when he was a child. He received his formal education in the Talladega City School System. He was employed at Wehadkee Yarn Mill for 17 years before he injured his back at his last employment where he became disabled. He was an avid Auburn fan. He loved talking about and working on his cars. His favorite car was his 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS. He loved his grandchildren (who had his heart), family and friends.
