George Henry Cook, age 80, of Sycamore, Al received his eternal healing on January 29, 2022.
George was born in Talladega County, AL on March 17, 1941, to parents John Henry Cook and Lillie Mae Nix. The youngest son of thirteen children he was an avid outdoorsman and loved nothing more than spending time enjoying God’s creation. He was a committed provider, spending many years employed by Avondale Mills and later the Talladega County Commission.
George was preceded in death by his parents John Henry and Lillie Mae Cook, wife, Loveola (Kitty) Cook, daughter, Monica D. Cook and siblings Icie Lee, Fannie, Lucille, Ada Mae, James (J.M.) Kavis, Arnetia, Mary Lois, John Eddie, Doris, Ivera and Billie Joe.
He is survived by his daughters Cynthia Porch and Annette (Reginald) Leonard and son, Eddie Frand (Marcie) Player. He is also survived by his grandchildren Latishia (Thomas) Rowell, Lindsey (Dedrick) Walker, Crystal (Johnathan) Powell-Dickens, Kendell (Andrea) Porch, Erin Leonard and Nikki Porch. George was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Jordyn Odum, Kailey Odum and Savannah Powell. Known and loved by many in the community, George will be forever remembered by a host of relatives and friends.
