Gene Hatter

Gene L. Hatter was born in Bessemer, Al to Herman and Luebirda Hatter on January 4, 1951. He worked as a roofer for Birmingham Furnace and Roofing for 39 years.

Gene L. Hatter (73) of Bessemer, Al. passed away on June 13, 2024, in Bessemer, Al. in the comfort of his home. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Hatter Sr., mother, Luebirda Hatter, sister Bernice Witherspoon, brother, Herman Hatter Jr. brother James Hatter, brother Mack Ware and sister Florine Wright.

Gene Hatter is survived by his sisters, Annie Hatter, Kathy King, aunt, Dixie Napier and son, Michael Croom and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
