Margaret (McKinney) Walker

Mrs. Margaret McKinney Walker was born on May 21, 1939 in Talladega County to the union of the late Nemiah and Ruby May McKinney.

          Margaret united in holy matrimony to James O. Caldwell on February 13, 1960. They meet while attending Alabama A & M college where her major was Education and Cosmetology. They later moved to Baltimore Md. She eventually moved back to Sylacauga, Al where she was employed at Eckerds Drug and Indian Valley Elementary School where she retired.

          Mrs. Margaret Walker reunited with St. Thomas United Methodist Church and served as a communion stewardess and remained a faithful member until her illness and demise.

          Margaret transitioned this life on October 28, 2018 at Sylacauga Health Care & Rehab Center.

          She was proceeded in death by her father; Nemiah McKinney, mother; Ruby McKinney son; James O (Jimmy) Caldwell Jr, brother; Ray (Lil Ray) McKinney, Nemiah (Love man) McKinney, Rudolph Greene, great nephew; Courtney McKinney.

          Mother leaves to cherish her precious memories: her dog Ebony a loyal companion, the father of her children James O. Caldwell (Birmingham, Al) two daughters: Judith (Lance) Caldwell Borden (Sylacauga, Al), Iris Princess (Dewight) Thomas (Birmingham, Al) one brother: Ralph (Mildred) McKinney, two sister-in-laws: Doris J. McKinney (Sylacauga, Al), Kernis Greene, nine grandchildren: Jacolby Caldwell, Terri Caldwell, Paige (Patrick) Dickerson, Tova Caldwell all of Sylacauga, Al, Tino Caldwell, Maurice Caldwell, Micha Caldwell all of Birmingham, Al, James Gregory (Aaleigh) Caldwell, James Aron (Sumter, S.C.). eighteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews other relatives and friends.
