Ms. Leonia Carter was born on May 7, 1973 in Los Angeles, California to the parentage of the late Mr. Leander Carter and Mrs. Myrtis Kimble Williams. Leonia graduated from Crenshaw High School in 1991. While in school she enjoyed dancing and being a part of her school dance team. After high school she held many different jobs while in California and Alabama some which include: Modeling, Footlocker, Chase Bank (teller) Mohawk, Walmart (CSM), Taco Bell (Manager), and finally with CorLinc in Roanoke, AL.
In 2007 She set out to return to her family roots of Randolph County, AL. She successfully completed that task with her daughters Meagan, and Kiara. Leonia enjoyed helping coach her daughters through sports, Handley High School Marching Band and dance through the years. She was so fond of dancing that she would often help with the dance ministry at the different churches throughout the area. Leonia was a member at the New Dimension Worship Center in Lanett, AL under the leadership of Bishop Donald Lancaster.
On Saturday Morning January 27, 2024 around 2:15 A.M. Leonia traded time for eternity at her Roanoke, AL home following a courageous battle with Breast Cancer. Leonia is survived by her two loving daughters; Megan and Kiara Carter of Roanoke, AL. Her Mother: Myrtis Williams (Noah) Compton, Cali,. Two Grandchildren: Kaiden and Khyleigh Carter both of Roanoke,AL. Aunts; Rebecca Marbara (Orlander) Carson City, Cali,. Patricia Rogers (John) Wedowee, AL. Uncles: James and Herbert Kimble of Wedowee, AL. King Victor Kimble of Anniston, AL. Johnny Kimble (Tawana) of Anniston, AL. Finally a host of other realtives and friends.
